Frequently Asked Questions
Allow the soy candle to burn until the wax melts out to all the edges of the vessel. This may take 30 to 60 minutes. If you blow out the soy candle before the wax goes liquid to the edge it can create tunnels down the center of the candle. This will waste some of the glorious soy wax with each consecutive short burn. Above all think safety. If you must leave the room, blow out the candle, you can always relight it when you come back to it.
The estimated burn time for the 5oz soy candles is 30-40 hours. And the 12oz soy candle is about 65-80 hours.
Remember, burn times are estimated and can be greatly affected by the environment in which the candle is used. The soy candle flame height may vary at times. The wick should be ¼ of an inch before lighting. If you find the wick to be mushroomed or taller than a ¼ inch.. extinguish, trim, and relight. Even if you are experiencing a low flame it should continue to heat and the flame height will return. The recommended burn time is 3 to 4 hours. Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time and keep your wicks trimmed. Keep your soy candle away from drafts and breezes such as ceiling fans and air conditioners. Keep it only in sturdy, open, and visible space: away from pets, kids, curtains, decor and etc. Never move or handle the soy candle while it is burning, the glass container can get very hot. Finally, blow out the candle before you go to sleep. Many house fires are caused when an owner falls asleep. If allowed to burn to the base this will cause the glass to shatter.
